the bees nest clean and sober house for men

“Lise has done a great job with this place. This house is helping me build my foundation for the future.”

The following are letters written by the tenants in December, 2008 to show their gratitude for the house. Names have been deleted to respect the anonymity of the residents.

“I have come to believe that if it was not for the Bees’ Nest and the the other men that live here, I would not be clean today. Coming from CVRC, The Bees’ Nest was a godsend to me. I highly recommend it to anyone with substance abuse issues. Things have gone well for me at the Bees’ Nest and I’m moving out at the end of the year, only to go on to bigger and better things and make room for someone that needs it like I did.”

“I was lucky enough to have been here from the start. I truly don’t know what I would have done had the Bees’ Nest not been here. As a group, we are completely unified in our determination to change our lives and live clean and sober. I find that living with other men just as determined to improve their lives a great asset. I’m not always in a positive frame of mind, but one or more of my roommates usually is. It’s great to be able to use that. We are four men who all came from different places, but want the same things for each other: a happy, clean and sober life!”

“I came to the Bees’ Nest from a recovery center, looking for a structured home, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I am very grateful that this home is here and for the people involved with the house. Lise has done a great job with this place. This house is helping me build my foundation for the future. I am forever grateful. It is a great place for myself and my roommates , and when we move on, it will be there for someone else who is living a clean and sober life. We need more places like the Bees’ Nest.”
